BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
The City Secretary oversees the process of receiving nominations for all Boards and Commissions, conducting background checks, coordinating with other departments which work directly with each board, and documenting compliance with state law and City Code, such as financial disclosure and ethics rules. RECORDS MANAGEMENT
The city secretary chairs the city's records management policy committee and appoints the city's records management officer. The records management program provides for the identification, maintenance, retention, security, electronic storage, microfilming, disposition, and preservation of city records.
