The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
The assistant city secretary announced that a quorum of the city council was present.
The invocation was given by Yusuf Z. Kavakci, Islamic Association of North Texas.
Councilmember Neumann led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The meeting agenda, which was posted in accordance with Chapter 551, "OPEN MEETINGS," of the Texas Government Code, was presented.
After all business properly brought before the city council had been considered, the city council adjourned at 3:17 p.m.

Briefing B: Single Family Rental Registration and Inspection Proposal
The city manager briefed the city council on the item.
Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Medrano, Councilmember Hill, Councilmember Atkins and Councilmember Koop announced they had a conflict of interest and would abstain from voting or participating in any discussion. Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Medrano, Councilmember Hill, Councilmember Atkins and Councilmember Koop left the briefing room.
Note: Later in the meeting, Councilmember Atkins stated for the record that based upon discussion with the City Attorney confirmed he did not have a conflict of interest, even though he left the briefing room during the discussion of the item. The City Attorney verbally confirmed Councilmember Atkins did not have a conflict of interest, even though he left the briefing room during the discussion of the item.

Councilmember Atkins moved the city council meet in executive session to confer with the city attorney.
Motion seconded by Councilmember Hill and unanimously adopted. (Allen absent when vote taken)
Mayor Leppert called a recess of the city council meeting at 1:22 p.m. as authorized by Section 551.071, Consultations with Attorney, of the Texas Open Meetings Act to confer with the City Attorney.
Mayor Leppert reconvened the city council meeting after the executive session at 1:58 p.m.
No other matters were discussed during the executive session.
