Convention and Event Services

 

3.         A resolution authorizing (1) execution of the Trust Fund Agreement with the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee, Inc., a Texas nonprofit corporation (LOC) for the period August 4, 2010 through December 31, 2011; (2) execution of related agreements including mutual aid agreements; (3) acceptance and deposit of $1,465,000 from the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau to be included in the City's deposit to the Major Events Trust Fund; and (4) a reimbursable deposit to be made by the City with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts to initiate the Major Events Trust Fund in the amount of $1,237,000 - Total not to exceed $2,702,000 - Financing:  Current Funds (subject to appropriations) [10-1920; APPROVED]


Sustainable Development and Construction

 

4.         Authorize (1) the acceptance of a grant from the North Central Texas Council of Governments, functioning as agent for the Texas Department of Transportation, in the amount of $10,000,000 for the development of a modern streetcar system that will operate in and around the Central Business District; (2) an Interlocal Agreement with the North Central Texas Council of Governments and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to detail project roles and responsibilities related to technical engineering, environmental analysis and public involvement of the TIGER Grant streetcar proposal; (3) an Interlocal Agreement with DART to outline project roles and responsibilities related to the development of the Streetcar System Plan and Financial Feasibility Analysis for an amount not to exceed $3,000,000; and (4) an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with DART to establish a cooperative purchasing program for goods and services - Not to exceed $10,000,000 - Financing: North Central Texas Council of Governments Regional Transportation Council CDA Funding Initiative [10-1921; APPROVED]
